- Blogoversary makes me think of Blago. You know, the Illinois governor sent to prison? No, not that one. Not that one either. Nope, not him either. Yes, that one. Fun fact, I just discovered that a product exists called Blago Hair. Tagline: "It's bleep'n golden." Awesome.
- I decided to go to the recurrent loss specialist now instead of waiting. And by "now," I mean that I still haven't called, but at least I came to a decision.* I want to go ahead with finishing off the less invasive tests that I haven't already had done (99 vials of blood on the wall, 99 vials of blood...), but I'll probably hold off on the more intimidating tests (endometrial biopsy, HSG) until we've decided whether we're giving pregnancy another whirl. *I reserve the right to change my mind.
- We visited a daycare this week because waiting lists are very long here. I felt like we were playing make believe. (Fooled you suckers! We don't even have a baby!) I didn't anticipate that the waiting lists in daycares might be month-specific. At this place (which we otherwise really liked), we would have to guess at a starting month. If we needed to change, we'd fall to the bottom of the list in the new month, which defeats the purpose of being on a waiting list. I understand that most people know what month their baby is arriving. We do not.
- Before going to bed on Thursday, mrohkay said, "You've been doing a good job of not crying lately." My reaction? "Huh. I guess I haven't cried lately. Weird." I suppose I've mostly kicked a two or three times a week (or more) habit. Time marches on - blah de blah. Really I'm less sad because I have a picture of a little person who is in the process of becoming ours to look at.
- Speaking of, I wish I had more than one picture of our babe. Every day I look at the picture and say, "Still wearing your froggy shirt today, I see?" Tee hee.
- We printed photos of ourselves and our families to put together a book to send over. Fun, but it sure feels presumptuous to write "Nous allons ĂȘtre tes parents!" (We're going to be your parents!) Hopefully it's true.
- A reader recently emailed me to let me know that the state representative that I wrote an open letter to was recently found dead in his bed. That's really sad. Even so, I hope his bill doesn't outlive him.
- My favorite blog post of the last year is the first one I ever wrote. For a blogoversary present, let me know in the comments which of your own blog posts you're most proud of - I'd like to go read it!
I've moved!

Bullet-point boogie
I've officially been blogging for one year, and I'm going to celebrate with a half-assed bullet-point post! Hooray! (Sorry.)
